Thinking about stereotypes, the single parent lobby and the future, here is a guest blog from Nick Woodall who also works at the Centre for Separated Families. Tackling the DV myths and stereotypes and how they drive the family separation agenda is part of our strategy for 2013. I particularly like the idea in this blog that researchers purporting to research family separation have actually, for the past forty years, only been researching the social construct called single or lone parenthood which is akin, in Nick’s view, to going to Old Trafford and conducting a survey into who the best football team in Manchester is! Enjoy.
